How to restrict bidding to approved customers

The default settings for Auction Plus allow customers with an active account on your store to place bids. Further restrictions can be placed on who is allowed to bid from the Settings page of Auction Plus under the Auction -> General section. At this time, there are two options to limit bidding for customers.

Require approval to bid

This option will restrict bidding to customers with a bidder-approved tag on their customer account. Please see the section below on how to tag a customer account for more information

Auto-approve bidders with purchase history

This option will allow customers who have made a prior purchase to place a bid, even if they have not been pre-approved with a bidder-approved tag on their customer account. This setting is useful for pre-approving customers with an existing purchase history on your store.

How to tag a customer account

Customers can be pre-approved to bid by adding a bidder-approved tag to their customer account. Tags can be added to a customer account from the Customers section of the Shopify admin area.
